Does your kitten do a mean impression of Tom Sawyer? Is your dog a double for Don Quixote? If so, grab your cameras and send your pics over to The New Yorker and yr well-read pet could find themselves with a trick-or-treat bag full of FAME!

The Book Bench via The New Yorker is holding a very special Halloween costume contest just for pets called Critterati! The contest is open to all non-humans dressed as LITERARY Characters for Halloween.

Entries accepted until Oct 25th, and the winner will be announced on Oct 28th.  I promise to get some links to pics of the winners when they are posted.

  3. Cabbage

Ayn Rand? That would be really scary. Someone should dress a huskie up as Jack London.
